The carbs on the Ninja engine have been getting on my nerves quite a lot.
I have spent nearly as much time trying to sort the fuelling out as building the car !
So I have picked up some suitable throttle bodies with injectors and sensors etc to fit on the engine.

But I have been looking at megasquirt to run them.
Any experience with homebrew fuel injection ?

I've had dta which was fairly straight forward to get running with a Sandy loom.

Can't help with megasquirt, I've heard it's a lot more involved. What I always say when people are choosing an ecu to use is to find who you want to map it and use what they suggest rather than choose an ecu then have to find someone that will map it.

DTA ?
I did buy the controller which went with the throttle bodies earlier. (Ebay)
Wondered if I should just adapt the original one and connect it into my loom. :?

It was running great last week, the the next day refused to start

You got ant DTA details Matt ?

So close now. Got a trackday booked in March. I don't really want to take the Puma.

This is the ecu I was using.

I got Sandy to map it. It won't be cheap by the time it's done though. I expect around a grand by the time you get an ecu, loom and mapping plus a trip to Cornwall.

What controller have you got?

I spoke to DTA, they only supply a full ecu and injection controller.
Not really what I want as I already have a ECU which works fine, just the fuelling to sort.

I think I can adapt the Kawasaki ZX6 injection controller to communicative with my existing GPZ900R ECU.
Just a bit of "inventive" wiring required, which is right up my street

Either that or a Megasquirt system.
